After countless hours spent on tweaking and setting up the CarPC to be 100% reliable I thought I should post some photos of the final setup in day and night conditions.
In the end the setup looks like this:
- 7" Touch Screen in the dashboard (connecting wires under carpet);
- MiniATX PC (1GB RAM, 200GB HDD, WinXP) in the boot;
Functions Setup:
- Audio from PC to the car amp/speakers: RCA to Amp CD-Changer interface.
- GPS Navigation: USB GPS antenna.
- WiFi Networking: USB WiFi antenna.
- IBUS Networking: Serial IBUS interface to Amp wires.
- Power Supply: M2-ATX to car battery and Amp wires for on/off ignition key trigger.
